If you’re backpacking your way to Indonesia, be ready for a trip of textbook adventure and wild emotions. This is an extremely diverse country, pumped jam full of excellent backpacker sights. Indonesia is rich in history, religion, wildlife, culture and also natural beauty. There are thousands of islands to explore in this country that houses a ridiculously crazy 260 million people, yes that is pure lunacy in a nutshell, but there are also quiet parts where that number will seem slightly exaggerated. I love the country though and I buzz off it.

A good option for first timers is to visit Java. Here, the hub of Jakarta serves as the country’s busiest airport and you can check  out the stunning attractions at Borobudur and Prambanan too. There are all situated on Java, for an extra beat of Indonesian culture though, head to Tangerang.

Tangerang in Indonesia is an excellent place to go touring when you travel to this massive country. It’s a country with more islands than you can ever count. Tangerang is on the island of Java and is one of the biggest cities in the country, housing a whopping 2 million people. When you arrive in Tangerang, get booked into the Novotel Tangerang , you can visit site of this hotel and make your booking. Once you arrive, work your way through these top sights.

1.Scientia Square Park
This classic square park is one to definitely get on your list. A place of relaxing beauty to chill out away from the traffic and sheer madness of the city’s streets. As a bonus, take some Indonesian tea and a book and top up your sun tan.

2.Museum Benteng Heritage
A quirky, colourful and insightful museum, the Museum Benteng Heritage comes as a huge surprise. I loved this place and recommend a visit. It’s charm is clear for all to see, but I won’t spoil  its secrets. Go there and see it for yourself and you won’t be disappointed.
