You are wondering where on earth is Jougla Point! The answer is in Antarctica. It is on a remote island called Goudier Island. I was gasping in awe of my surroundings at Jougla, amidst a flurry of snow and penguins. I also got thinking about my time spent in PR in London. []

China is a marvellous country to travel in and it’s great to get off the beaten track so it was time to head to the north of the Guangdong Province on a special trip. There’s a location known as Penis Rock – it’s basically a rock in the shape of a man’s willy that you can hike up past and admire! Yes it really looks like a big dick! []

Gu Lang Yu is a superb magical island off the coast of Xiamen in the Fujian Province of China. To reach it you take a ferry from Xiamen. It’s a very different type of island and definitely worth a visit!

Well you’ve heard the phrase “The Venice of Asia” a lot of times, you might even have read about it twice on my blog when I visited Tai O (Hong Kong’s Venice) and Pingjianglu in Suzhou (China’s Venice). A lot of places get given this Venice of Asia moniker and today it’s all about Kampong Ayer in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei.

China is the world’s most populous country but for some reason a lot of the big name travellers seem to avoid it. And even if they do head there, they seem to go to places like Beijing and Shanghai. But that’s not really China now is it? Both those cities are globalised now, and even have street signs and maps in English. It’s time for the truth on how to really visit China- get off the beaten track!!

China offers a range of fantastic food that you might never have heard of elsewhere. How about some sweet rice, with colour added to it? It certainly sounds intriguing and if you head to the fantastic Jiulong Waterfalls in China’s Yunnan Province then you can try the sweet coloured rice. It’s near the city of Luoping in the Yunnan Province.

In Antarctica Deception Island is just an incredible place to see. To get there we had to veer our boat through the narrow passage known as Neptune’s Bellows. We gathered on deck and looked out in awe as this marvellous island came into view. Indeed the magic of Deception Island in Antarctica was just beginning.
