Recently I found out about an excellent new European Trip planning website, called RoutePerfect. RoutePerfect is an online DIY trip planning tool that helps you design and create your own trip itineraries based on your travel preferences, budget and personal style. I haven’t seen anything like it for a long time and I’ve been testing the site the last few weeks, loving the way it works!

When you click on the homepage on the right hand side, you input the following details:

  • Where your trip begins
  • How long your trip will last for
  • Your style of travel
  • Your budget of travel
  • Where your trip will end

So you fill all that in on the website and click the button and it comes up with an excellent unique itinerary to suit your needs, all tailored by Route Perfect based on your preferences. You can do it for as long or as short as you want so it fits short breaks, holiday makers, backpackers and longer term travellers. You can choose anytime frame you want – 7 days, 1 country or for 14 days, 3 countries, even 28 days across 4 or 5 countries. It’s a diverse and well designed tool.

I have tried a few different trip plans on it from backpacking to romantic couples trips to longer term overlanding through multiple countries trips. I have been impressed by how much it “knows”! Geographically and logically all the trips they came up with were incredible even when I clicked that I was travelling through a few different countries, all in Europe. As an example, you can plan a romantic trip in Italy and bring out the following range of trip plans.

You can then save your trip, price your trip and go ahead and book your trip online. I tried a cool 14 day trip from London in England to Edinburgh in Scotland and automatically, Route Perfect sorted out 3 cool stop offs on the way for me  – Bath, Cambridge and York. It does this based on your own preferences, what you tick in the boxes. You can pick romantic, friends, family, solo options. Then you can pick your budget – either economy, moderate or luxury budget. Route Perfect is basically is a website that can be used by any type of traveller out there as it fits all these niches and that’s the beauty of it.

Once you are done with your plan, and got all the details loaded on the site, you are able to plan and book for exclusive opaque rates (rates that are normally not available for individuals), available only when booking as a package – and thus you will be saving up to 20% off your entire trip. So it’s not just a thorough app – it also saves you money.

Route Perfect helps the user plan routes, ride times, distances, transportation, accommodation and also offers insights into daily planning, local attractions and activities to see and do. It’s an invaluable new resource for travellers and one of the most innovative new ideas I’ve seen in a while in the travel industry. So please give it a try. Head to the Route Perfect website and test it out. On the site, you can also check out their top itineraries at present as well if you want a pre organised custom built plan. Safe travels and enjoy Route Perfect.
