Last year I reported on the Uruguay v. Northern Ireland UFWC match. Since then we’ve had an entire World Cup and the UFWC trophy has changed hands 5 or 6 times. Along the way I managed to watch the drama unfold from 3 different continents as a nomadic football fan! In the first weekend of the World Cup, Uruguay’s surprise defeat to Costa Rica gave the Ticos the honours and they managed to take the UFWC all the way to the Quarter Finals, where they drew 0-0 with the Netherlands before losing on penalties.
